The kids are coming to town
We are so excited to have Dylan, Makenzee and Wyatt come for Christmas! I will have joy on Christmas morning to watch the little ones open the presents. It will also be Xander's first Christmas and I am glad that they are here to share it with him.
Now that I have figured out how to post some video....I thought I would share this one in honor of Wyatt. He is about 3 years old in this video and now he will be 5 in January.
This just shows what a crazy, fun kid he is! Here are the top 5 things I love about Wyatt:
1. His laugh...He has such a contagious laugh.
2. His love for animals. Since I remember him he has loved dogs and cats.
3. His love for TRAINS! I have never seen someone so obsessed with one thing!
4. His cute personality and endless amount of Energy!
5. His helpful attitude. Laundry and dishes he is my buddy and helper when he is here!

Ornaments
My friend and visiting teaching partner had a really fun Ornament Exchange Party! Everyone brought one wrapped ornament and we passed them around and ate food and talked. It was cool. Come to think of it she is really cool. She also planned the Witches Night Out party. I am really lucky that I was put with her when I moved into the ward. Because I get invited to her fun parties.
I received this really precious Noah's Ark ornament.
And So......
Tonight as I was sitting on the couch and looking at my Sister Tiffany's blog..I thought about Ornaments. I love them. Every since I was a little girl I loved the ornaments.
I remember making up stories about each of them and playing with them.
So I thought I would highlight a few from my tree.
My tree has no theme...
It is a mish mash hodge podge of what I have and what I have "borrowed" from dear sweet Mama Jannet!
I bought this ornament this year! I love butterflies and I found it in Silver which is the main color on my tree.
I am a "nerd" I met my husband on the internet and my screen name was "Mariposa" which is butterfly in Spanish.
Jeremy's screen name was "baetis" which is some type of Mayfly. (It has to do with fishing)
I don't have a representation of that on my tree. So the butterfly will just have to represent the both of us. Because I really don't want a mayfly on my tree. No offense to Jeremy, I just think it would probably be ugly since it is something that buzzes around bodies of water waiting to be snatched up by a fish.
This is a "Borrowed" ornament. I remember fondly hanging it up many times over the years at Mama Jannet's. Jeremy thinks it is ugly but I love it. I think maybe Tiffany or Jeff made it. So thanks guys!
This is another one of those "borrowed" ornaments. A little boy in a bed. I played with these fondly many times as a little girl. It was the night before christmas and this little boy was so excited to wake up on Christmas morning!
I love my "borrowed" ornaments because they remind me of my childhood christmas's that I have loved over the years.
I was such a blessed little girl to always have a good christmas.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

The day the cousins got together
All these beautiful people are related to me!
(Double click on the picture if you want to see them up close)
I have hugged and snuggled all of them since birth.
Except for the little guy on top...
who is my own
I am known as there aunt
starting at 14 years old I have been in charge of them at one point or another.
Some for a week
Some for a day
and some for an hour
Thanks to all their parents who are my brothers and sisters
for letting me practice
So I could be the perfect Mom for the little guy who was asleep
during the cousin picture!
Little Bear is under the weather
On Wednesday my little bear went to the Doctors and received his second round of immunizations.
The first time there was no side effects. (I thought it would be the same again but no!)
Thursday he did not wake up the same. No big smile for Dad and No running his legs like he is in a Spin Class
My bear has a fever.
My bear will just lay on the bed and doze in and out of sleep.
When he is awake he will only kick the Left leg the right one is too sore.
I hope my little bear feels better soon.
(I miss his giggle)

I read Nie Nie
down on the left side of my column is a little button that says I read Nie Nie. My sister told me about it so i decided to take a look.
This is about a lady that I do not know.
But I know her because she believes the same things as me.
She was hurt in a Plane Crash with her husband "Mr. Nielson" she calls him this because she is a Pride and Prejudice Fan, and in that book Elizabeth calls her future bow, "Mr. Darcy".
Read her story and her blog. (It is BEAUTIFUL) and makes me feel so happy...to know there are so many good people in the world.
I bought a t-shirt to support the recovry fund for her...read about her and maybe you will too!

Presidential election
Well it is done and over with! No more ads about how evil Marilyn Musgrave is and the fake Betsy Markey on a lie detector. I am tired of all the hate.
I am also excited not to hear the negative media talk about George Bush. I was listening to CNN today and a newscaster said...."I can't wait! We finally get to slam the door on the Bush era."
Show some respect, my goodness! We live in the greatest country on the earth and the American people voted for George Bush and George Bush worked hard for our country. I am proud that I voted for him and I think he deserves respect.
The ironic thing is that George Bush has a %70 disapproval rating and congress has a %70 disapproval rating. George is republican and Congress is controlled by democrats so I think the American people are just not happy no matter what.
So as I was cleaning the kitchen and watching Fox news. (I like to switch around so I get lots of different perspectives) A newscaster gave a tribute and a thank you to George Bush. I only caught the tail end but he said George Bush never cared about what anyone thought of him. In an interview he told the newscaster, "that is the nature of the job."
The newscaster also said, that in every interview, George Bush took time to shake hands with everyone in the cast, sometimes 30-40 people. So I just want to say, thank you Fox newscaster man for saying something positive about the man who has served our country for the last 8 years.
Now it is time for a New era, and even though the man that I voted for did not win, I am still proud to be an American and proud to live in this great country! I hope that Barack Obama succeeds and does well for our country. I hope he inspires people to work harder and be better people.
I want him to be a good president just like I wanted George Bush to be a good president. I will pray for him just like I prayed for George Bush.
I am proud that our country still believes in checks and balances and that Democrats don't have a filibuster proof congress.
I am proud that it was a close election and not a landslide because it means that people share many different opinions and that is what makes this country great!
I am proud that prop. 8 passed in California and similar measures in Arizona and Florida. We are still a nation that believes in the family.
I am proud to be a stay-at-home mom and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints!
I am proud of my husband and my sweet little son and I feel like the most blessed girl in the world with all I have been given.

A series of really fun events
Today we went to Rocky Mountain National Park
Where Jeremy caught a big fish
(It looks like Xander but really it was a big fish!)
Friday for Halloween I got to snuggle with my very own
"Build a Bear"
We met Dad for lunch at a very yummy Italian Place so he could
snuggle with the bear too.
Thursday, I went out with a bunch of witches
When asked by an onlooker how we all knew each other,
One witch "cackled" We are Mormons!
We had so much fun!
And that is my series of really fun events!

Trip to Arizona
My mom and I went to Arizona this weekend and I got to hang out with Haley, Annie and Nicolina and I got indoctrinated into the Highschool Musical shows. I had never seen any of them but we all went and saw the 3rd one on Saturday.
Xander did really well during the movie! So I watched all 3 highschool musical shows this weekend. Crazy stuff.
My sister Natalee and Steve came over on Sunday (they live in AZ as well) and they showed me their little highschool musical video that they put together. So I copied them and put Jeremy and I into the act.
I messed up the mouths but it is pretty funny. Watch below!

I have been Tagged
So my friend Karen "Tagged" me! I don't exactly know what this means but I guess I am supposed to post the 4th picture in my 4th file.
It was a picture of Jeremy and Makenzee on her baptism day. Jeremy and I were not married yet but Jeremy was living in Colorado. I remember how nervous and uncomfortable I was to go. I asked my cousin Stacey if I could bring her two cute girls to come with me so I could just blend in. I am very shy and I hate confrontation but I wanted to go to support Makenzee and I am glad that I did.
Things are much better then they were back then and for that I am thankful. It is just something I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. I am sure many of you are thinking as you read this, I am glad that this is not me and I am glad it is not you either! But I really feel Jeremy's three little kids were supposed to be a part of my life. All the other things that come with it are challenging and stressful at times but I love those kids and care about them like they were my own. I am so thankful for them. Now having a child of my own, I feel more connected to them. Xander is their brother and I hope and pray that they will get a long and love each other.
Dylan is now getting baptized this March but this time I am not as nervous and I don't think I will have to bug my cousin Stacey to bring her girls with me.
I tag, TIFFANY, Natalee and my sister-in-law Emily

Weekend in Utah
Jeremy and I went to his Grandma Wirick's funeral on Friday. She was 92 years old.
She had seven children and was a wonderful cook and mother. Jeremy inherited her cooking passion. She was also an amazing embroider. She won several blue ribbons for her work. Jeremy and I received some pillow cases from her and they will be great treasures to us.
We also got to spend some time with my Family. I am just now thinking how bummed I am that I did not take any pictures. My Great Aunt Nettie was in town from California and it would have been great to have some pictures of her and Xander.
On my side, we don't have a lot of old people. My Mother's parents died before they were 50 of health problems and my Dad's parents died when I was in 2nd grade for my Grandpa and 10th grade for my Grandma.
So the oldest living relatives on my Dad's side would be my Aunt Dina who is 66 (I think) and my Dad would be next.
On my Mom's side, it would be my Great Aunt Nettie. I think she is 80 something years old. and she is hot! I am serious she is the most beautiful 80 year old I know. I really hope I can look as well as her when I am 80 something. I am including a picture of her from my wedding.
So besides my Aunt Nettie, we don't have much longevity on my side. I am hopping the next generation, meaning my mom and aunts will live a long time. I want Xander to have some old people in his life.
On another note,
Jeremy cut Wyatt's hair while we were there. He looked so cute! Jeremy is such a good Dad! He really wants his kids to look and feel good about themselves. I was also thinking how lucky I am because it will save us a lot of money when Xander is ready to start getting hair cuts!
