Jeremy and I at the wedding. He had to touch the belly!
He loves to stick out the tongue. I think 1/2 of our wedding pictures have his tongue stuck out.
Cake Mom made for my friends wedding.
Jeremy and I had a busy weekend this weekend. On Friday we went to a paint your own pottery studio and Jeremy painted Mother's day presents. I painted a couple of tiles for the house. Mine are cute and Jeremy's are works of art. This is the second time we have been to a paint pottery place and similar to the first experience everyone in the store commented on what a great artist Jeremy is and how beautiful he paints. My husband is so modest but after we left, he said, "I think I am starting to believe I am pretty good." I will post pictures of our creations when we get them.
On Saturday, we went to my friend Joy's wedding. It was fun. I was her visiting teacher about 4 years ago when I attended the Arvada singles ward. Joy joined the church shortly before I was assigned her as one of my sisters and so I had the opportunity to give her the new member discussions. It was really cool. She was married in the Denver Temple to a great guy! She is an eye doctor and when Jeremy moved out here, I had him go to her for his eye care needs. So Jeremy has built a relationship with her as well.
Here is the funny thing though. So Jeremy and I enter the wedding and there are little cards telling us where to sit. Jeremy spotted one for Jeff and Jami Downs. Jeremy asked why Jeff was invited? I said, "I don't know." Well we walk into the wedding and there is Jeff in the corner being the D.J. I thought Mom might have recommended him since she was doing the cake. NO! Jeff works with Joy's new husband's family. He started his company, Best Practices with the grooms brother quite awhile ago and they asked Jeff to D.J the wedding a long time ago. He had no idea that Mom did the cake.
I told Jeremy, "I guess we were the lucky ones and got to be the guests at the wedding and not the service people."
Jeff told his co-worker, "I guess our family will provide it all, D.J, cake and if your lucky we will throw in some guests!"
Small world in Mormon land.
Our weekend was not over yet. Dad gave us some tickets to a Rockies game and we could not find anyone to go with. So I sold them to a scalper for $20. His loss because no one came and sat by us, meaning he did not sell our tickets, Jeremy and I bought Rockies Dogs and drinks thanks to Scalper Man. Thanks Dad for the tickets and Scalper Man for the treats.
Oh, It is almost 10pm and tomorrow starts another week. 15 days left of school!
bye, bye for now!
