I signed Jeremy and I up for a birth class on Saturday. It was well, both good and interesting. The good things are that I was able to watch a birth that showed everything, even the placenta coming out and I was completly fine with the whole thing. I found it beautiful. Every birth we viewed on the video made Jeremy and I both tear up. It is such a spiritual thing I think.
Jeremy and I were the youngest couple in the class. I am 31, so that made me feel real good. There was a lady that I swear was 40 something with her boyfriend, husband,???? who looked younger then me. Jeremy and I both thought it was her son coming to support her in her husbands absence but we were mistaken. Speaking of young...Jeremy and I kind of behaved like immature teenagers a few times. I just got the giggles and could not stop. At one point, I had to leave the room.
First of all, the lady had a doll and a pelvis that she was demonstrating the birth process with. I don't know why I found it so humerous but I could not stop laughing and seeing Jeremy laugh made it worse. The teacher passed around the doll and pelvis so we could see close up and Jeremy had to put the pelvis over the baby's head like a super hero, again making me laugh.
The one that sent me out of the room was when the teacher, with a dress on, sat on the floor to demonstrate labor positions, spread eagled Jeremy and another husband. If you saw the look on the two guys faces, you would have laughed too. I could not control myself. After the class, Jeremy said, "I am just thankful she wore underwear".
I hope all you mothers had a wonderful Mothers Day. I did! Jeremy made me steak and crab that was really yummy and then let me sleep for two hours for a long Sunday nap. We then went on a walk around our beautiful neighborhood and looked at everyones beautiful green lawns and hoping that one day ours will be the same.
