Hmmm I have a lot to learn
Sister Johnson- Today we are going to talk about Abinadi, does anyone know who he was?
student- I have candy...who wants candy?
students- me, me, can I have a piece?
Sis J. Ok...Let's put the candy away. I have some things in a bag that represent Abinadi's life
and I want you to each take one and then look up the scripture that goes with it.
STUDENT FARTS
students- Ewww gross A farted. You are stinky.
Sis J.- If you can hear me touch your nose. If you can hear me close your mouth and look at me.
student- I can't hear you! I can't hear you! Ha Ha Ha
I finally get to hand out the things I had in the bag. They each are looking up their scriptures.
student a- Where is Mosiah?
student b- I can't find it
student c- I can't find it either
Help students find scriptures and realize I need page numbers for next time.
While some students are following along in scriptures and doing what they are supposed to, one girl is sprawled in the middle of the floor, searching through candy girls' purse.
I then end the lesson with a dramatic tape of Abinadi's testimony to King Noah. I really thought they would like it.
1/2 through 3 min tape
student- I really hope Abinadi will stop talking because I am getting really bored.
To end the lesson I did ask some questions and they all agreed to be more like him and stand up for what is right.
Ohhh 9 year olds! I have a lot to learn.

You go girl. Primary rocks it just takes a few weeks to break them in.
I am in primary now as well. I just go prepared and hope for the best. Some weeks are better than others. I have the CTR 5, much easier than the nine year olds. Good luck.
